Consider The Lilies Of The Field Do They Work?

Consider the lilies they are beautiful and they do not work nor do they spin. And Solomon in all his glory with all His riches was not dressed better than those lilies. God takes care of grass of these fields and they are gone one day so why do we not believe that He would and will take care of us and our needs.

Matthew 6:28-34 (MEV) 28 “Why take thought about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: They neither work, nor do they spin. 29 Yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. 30 Therefore, if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is here and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore, take no thought, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 (For the Gentiles seek after all these things.) For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you. 34 Therefore, take no thought about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take thought about the things of itself. Sufficient to the day is the trouble thereof.

The scripture today is a long one for a small reason. We as humans worry about everything. However the one thing we should think on and believe in we do not… Have you ever been driving down the road and seen a field full of small flowers in bloom? Yellow, purple, red, they are beautiful and our Father made them and had them bloom for a season and then they are gone.  Skipping down to verse 33 we find we must first seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness and the the rest will be given us…

We are here for a lifetime and we worry about everything why do we do that? Do we not trust God? I am guilty as well I get so wrapped up in things that I become blind to WHO’S I am. So, let us try harder to letting go and letting our Father take care of us.
