Morning Prayer For Tuesday March 12, 2019

Morning prayer for today is going to be something special. A new adventure in Tennessee for me. I am going on my first day as a Chaplin at the hospital. It is a lot different than in AZ. There was no training was just accepted and went to work the same with the jail ministry. Here there was training and shots and a medical and background checks… They actually care about what one is up to and what one knows.

In today’s world that is a plus. I am sure our God was and is in it. I am asking for prayer for wisdom, knowledge, understanding and discernment. For those that I will visit. This is not a job about what denomination it is about God and people. And I pray I will be an example of God to those who need to hear and see our Father.

Being a Christian in today’s world it feels like we have gone back in time. In some cases. I have repeated this time after time, but it still holds true. Billy Graham said the problem with American Christians no one is threatening to kill them. Well it is upon us now. Churches have all sorts of security and cameras. People walking the halls and parking lots.

Something to think about is if one dies right now is one prepared to meet our Father? There is no I need to think about it or I hope so. We all need to know without a doubt James 1:5-8. Let us look at what the Bible has to says about it…

Scriptures For Today

James 1:5-8 (MEV) 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally and without criticism, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, without wavering. For he who wavers is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed with the wind. 7 Let not that man think that he will receive anything from the Lord. 8 A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.

1 John 3:1 (MEV) Consider how much love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
Psalm 103:13 (MEV) Like a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord gives compassion to those who fear Him.
Romans 5:8 (MEV) But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16-20 (MEV) 16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned. But he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 This is the verdict, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

I keep thinking about the scripture 2 Corinthians 11:2-3 (MEV) 2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy. For I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear that somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve through his trickery, so your minds might be led astray from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Lord I pray today that we examine ourselves and become what our Lord desires us to be. In the precious and wonderful name of Jesus I do pray this all–Amen!
