Confidence is the answer to one of our problems. Do we really believe that our Lord hears our prayers and do we believe that He answers them. We say we trust the Lord do we?

1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV) 14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

There is another problem also “if we ask anything ACCORDING to His will, He hears us. Is all of our prayers in His will? Do we know and understand His will for us? That is why we need to know the word and understand the word.

Praying amiss, what is amiss? As an adjective- improper, wrong, faulty not functioning properly; “something is amiss”; “has gone completely haywire”.
As an adverb – In an incorrect, inappropriate, or defective manner, take something amiss to be annoyed or offended by something. Away from the correct or expected course; “something has gone awry in our plans”.

No where in the Bible does say we can ask whatever we want and he will give it to us. We are humans and selfish that is why. Not all however some would have a big home expensive cars and boats and trucks and motorcycles and have fun without the fellowship of Christians.

It is hard to praise God when we feel like we are alone in a battle and He is not listening to our prayers. We ask and hear nothing. Hummm, David said it this way in Psalm 34:1-3 (NKJV) 1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. 3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together.

Can we say that can we no matter what is going on, good, bad, or indifferent? No matter what will we praise Him? That is a big order and I think maybe just maybe we are being tested to see if we will.

Today the devotional is short, however, there is a lot to think about. Before we start complaining and whining are we continually praising Him no matter what?

Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And let us understand, it is time for us to BLESS GOD… This Ministry is supported with and by your love offerings, please consider helping us to spread the Gospel around the world.
