Morning Prayer For 08/17/2018

And the Lord said let there be light… Thus came the sun which lights the world now we, as Christians, need to be the light after Jesus died for us. We are the light and sometimes it seems the light is very dim. Hidding behind closed doors and preaching to the same groups over and over and nothing is being done or happening. We are told in Matthew 28:18-20 what to do and my question is are we doing it.
How many have YOU spoken with about accepting the Lord? How many have you been a light to? I heard a song yesterday and one of the lines goes something like this:
Walking your TALK and talking your TALK and your WALK is talking louder than your TALK.
OH, so very true. We as Christians have a duty to spread the WORD and my question is what WORD are we spreading? See we go to church on Sunday and and claim to be Christians then walk out and live like the world and say nothing tells others they have nothing to worry about for they live just like us 6 of the 7 days. So yes we all are spreading the word so the question becomes what WORD are we sharing or spreading?
Yes God is Love and we are to love our enemies however we are not told to lie to them either. We are to be a light to a darkened world according to Matthew 5:14-16 (MEV) 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Isaiah 49:6 (MEV) He says, “It is a light thing that you should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also make you a light to the nations so that My salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.”
Jeremiah 13:16 (MEV) Give glory to the Lord your God, before He causes darkness and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains, and while you look for light, He turns it into the shadow of death and makes it gross darkness.
John 9:3-5 (MEV) 3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned. But it happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 I must do the works of Him who sent Me while it is day. Night is coming when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
John 8:12 (MEV) Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
1 Peter 2:9 (MEV) But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may declare the goodness of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
Philippians 2:14-16 (MEV) 14 Do all things without murmuring and disputing, 15 that you may be blameless and harmless, sons of God, without fault, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine as lights in the world. 16 Hold forth the word of life that I may rejoice on the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
1 John 1:6-7 (MEV) 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, yet walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
2 Corinthians 6:14 (MEV) Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? What communion has light with darkness?
Acts 13:47 (MEV) For thus has the Lord commanded us:
‘I have established you to be a light of the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’
Isaiah 42:6-7 (MEV) 6 I the Lord have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand, and will keep You and appoint You for a covenant of the people, for a light of the nations, 7 to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison house.
1 Thessalonians 5:5 (MEV) You are all the sons [and daughters] of light and the sons [and daughters] of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.

I pray that this prayer helps us all be more like our Father and our Brother we are the Light of the world let us be that. I pray this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior–AMEN!
