Prayer For Sunday Morning 11/18/2018

Prayer is the food for Christians, it is how we talk with our Father. I wonder what would happen if we prayed as much as we complain about what is going on in this world. Yes, we are a part of it however it is not our home, we are just hanging out here until it is time to go home. We are to try and take as many as we can with us though.

If we prayed before or as much as we complain. If we practiced what we preached.What if our Father kept a running total of how many and how often. We need to pray all the time now I am not saying that we sit in a corner somewhere and pray. However I am saying that is one of the problems, let us take prayer in public schools. They have taken prayer out of the schools is what I have heard for years. Yes when I was a child we had prayer, Bible reading and even a pledge of allegiance to our flag. No more though.
I wish someone would explain to me how they took it out of school. No one can make anyone to stop praying. We can drive down the road praying we can stand in line anywhere and pray. See we do not have to be on our knees or in a corner or even in a prayer closet we can pray silently looking straight at a school teacher. They can not stop us from praying. They can try but they can not and it is time that we, as Christians, start to teach our children and stop letting the liberal public schools dumb down our children, our grand children or even great grand children.
I am tired of seeing this world run us. Heaven is real and so is hell, we all will pick a side and we all will live with that choice for ever. Eternity is a long time, think about it—we run through this world worrying about things that are nothing but things that well break, stop working, or just wear out, but eternity is FOREVER. Once comes the end of this life and then comes eternity…
Heaven or hell is the end, I don’t believe, does not change the fact that there is a Heaven and a hell. I will choose it before I die. I pray you have that opportunity and don’t just drop dead without a warning and then your choice has been made. Being a Christian is following God listening to the Holy Spirit. I don’t believe is not a reason it is and excuse.
My prayer today is that we Christians become stronger Christians, that we will learn to stand strong against the enemy. By reading and studing and growing. When we stop learning and growing we become stagnant, the definition of stagnant is someone or something that has little or no movement or activity.

Reading Isaiah chapters 40 and 41 would be a good place to start reading about what we as Christians are to our Father, however I am going to start with Isaiah 41:9-10 (MEV) 9 You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its remotest parts, and said to you, “You are My servant; I have chosen you and have not rejected you.” 10 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Philippians 4:13 (MEV)

I can do all things because of Christ who strengthens me.

2 Timothy 1:7 (MEV)

For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and self-control.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (MEV)

No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, and He will not permit you to be tempted above what you can endure, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Finally, my brothers (and sisters), be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face continually.
