Take Up Your Cross

My purpose here is to teach and train each of you to be all that God has called you to be. So that you might be ready. Are you ready to Take Up Your Cross?

Romans 3:25-26 (NIV) 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, [The Greek for sacrifice of atonement refers to the atonement cover on the ark of the covenant (see Leviticus 16:15,16).] through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

In Leviticus 16:15-16 we read about the sacrifice of atonement. However Jesus came and had no sin yet took all sin to the cross, He Jesus became the total complete sacrifice to end all sacrifices. No more is needed it is completed finished over and done. His shed blood covers all sin.

Now our part steps in. We HAVE TO BELIEVE that he did it for us and we have to take up our cross daily and carry it. Luke 9:23 I (NIV) [Read the Full Chapter] Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

This is our part if we choose to be His Disciple then we MUST deny ourselves take up our cross and follow His example. We need to be Christ Like. We need to understand who we are in Christ, we need to understand the power that has been given us and stand with it and use it. There is no room for want-to-be Christians here. Our duty should be Matthew 8:18-20 we are to make disciples of them [them being the new converts] As it is my place it is yours as well. My purpose here is to teach and train each of you to be all that God has called you to be. So that you might be ready. Are you ready to Take Up Your Cross?
