Bad company is basically hanging with the wrong crowd. One can not be a Christian and hang with the world and stay strong in the Lord. Not saying one cannot be around them am saying do not live with them…

A bad apple when mixed with others, will cause the whole bunch to become rotten. The rot starts on the inside and makes its way to the outer surface and anything around it becomes rotten also; just like sin does to the soul. That’s what sin does to the spirit, it starts inside and works its way out, controlling everything we say and do. Anyone who keeps company with a sinner will gradually start sinning like them, a batch of rotten apples. That is why God cannot allow it into heaven. Satan and his followers were cast out of heaven because of it. We are no exception. As long as there is not (sin) on the inside, God cannot look at us. That is the reason Jesus asked God why he had forsaken Him in Matthew 27:46.

Just because one appears to be a “good person” does not mean that they are truly followers of Jesus Christ. One must KNOW God in order to enter heaven. One must accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior in order for God to accept them into heaven. As we read in Galatians 5:19-21 it says, ” 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like: of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things, will not inherit the kingdom of heaven.”
When one tells others that they are a Christian and yet continue to sin, then that person is what God calls lukewarm. As in Revelations 3:16 ” so them, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.”
