We have all read the story of the 10 virgins waiting outside the gate for the Master to take them in. 5 had oil for their lamps and 5 did not. Who can separate us from God? The answer is right before us day in day out…

Romans 8:35 (MEV) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

None of this can separate us from God for we see it and can deal with it. The little things, the simple things. Can keep us from seeing the big picture. Let us say one is a successful young man. He is successful in his work and earns a great salary. He stops at a convenience store for something he needs at home.

Today has been one of those days he feels lonely there is no one in his life. He goes to church, pays his tithes, he loves the Lord. He walks into the store. Now he has a thing for ladies with dark hair preferably black. He does not like blondes. He picks up his loaf of bread and on the other side of the aisle there is a lady trying to get something off a top shelf and she just can not reach it.

As he turns, she is reaching up and showing just a little too much of a leg because of the length of the skirt. He steps over and reaches the can for her, As he hands it to her he sees her top is very revealing and she smiles and says thank you, in a soft voice… Sin has not happened however the enemy is sneaky she is everything he likes and sin is about to happen unless the glory of the Lord is there.

He has two choices he can pursue and quote-unquote the lady or walk away. The enemy is showing him what he likes, however, the results will not be what is right in Gods eyes. Here again is the glory of the lord present again the story of the 10 virgins 5 and 5 which group is he in right now. This is the enemy at work… We are tempted day after day after day. Around every corner. We need to be aware of the enemy day-in day-out…
