Morning Prayer is one way we communicate with our Lord.  Do we use it?  Do we listen to what He says to us?  Are we doing and being as He instructs us?

Prayer For Saturday December 8, 2018
Prayer For Thursday January 17, 2019

Soon it will be 75 years I have been here on this earth and I have seen and done a lot. I know what hell is like, lived it for 40 years. Then our Father took over and man me a new person. For the last 35 years, for the most part, I have lived for Jesus. Yes I slipped and yes I make mistakes, but we have a forgiving Father and a loving Brother in Jesus Christ and I am safe in them.

My worries are of family and friends that are not walking with God, who know who He is but do not believe in Him and trust Him. I heard last night at church a statement one of the members who has gone to be with the Lord used to do.

He would ask everyone he could one question “Do you know God” and if they said yes his next question was “Does He know you”? Does God know you do you communicate with Him do you pray and listen. He answers back. The problem in do we listen?

I was guilty of it as well. Our Father would reply no or not now and the first thing I would do was to tell satan to shut up. It was our Lord saying NO or NOT NOW and I did not want to hear that so it had to be the enemy speaking.

We are life spoiled brats most of the time we ask for things and if we do not get them we say He is not answering our prayers, some have even walked away. It is time that we grow up or Father is not a sugar daddy and he is not a give me gold mine either. Do we actually know what a miss is?

Definition of

To fail to hit, reach, catch, or otherwise make contact with, to be too late for or fail to meet, to fail to perceive, experience, or understand: to fail to accomplish or achieve.
To fail to attend or perform, to fail to answer correctly, to fail to benefit from; to escape or avoid.
To discover the absence or loss of to be without, to feel the lack or loss, To fail to hit or otherwise make contact with something, to be unsuccessful, to misfire.

This is the one that we miss in prayer, ”to fail to benefit from; to escape or avoid”. We do not get the answer we wanted so we escape or avoid what we hear. We need to learn to take what we get if there is a NO there is a reason and 100% of the time it is because what we asked is not good for us and He, our Father, is protecting us, protecting and keeping us from falling away.

However I do not believe that is what is to be heard I think the proper word is AMISS. Now we see the real use and non-use of this word… As an adverb out of the right or proper course, order, or condition; improperly; wrongly; astray. To take amiss , to be offended at or resentful of (something not meant to cause offense or resentment); misunderstand… This is the word and it has been quoted and/or used as I posted before this, however AMISS is what we need to understand and learn about…

We are loved and our Father only wishes the best for us. There is not one child of God that does not have a job to do. Not one it may only be to reach out to one person. It may be to go to that building called a church and thank someone for what they do. Or pray for in your quiet place for those needing pray. We all have something to do for our Father. The question of the day is “Are We Listening With Open Ears and A Clear Mind?”

Romans 12:2 (MEV) Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Romans 1:20 (MEV) The invisible things about Him—His eternal power and deity—have been clearly seen since the creation of the world and are understood by the things that are made, so that they are without excuse.
1 Peter 4:7 (MEV) The end of all things is near. Therefore be solemn and sober so you can pray.
James 1:19-20 (MEV) 19 Therefore, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, 20 for the anger of man does not work the righteousness of God.

Luke 24:45-48 (MEV) 45 Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. 46 He said to them, “Thus it is written, and accordingly it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, 47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things.

Do we really listen to our Father. Do we really hear what He says. Let us be of a sound mind–1 Corinthians 2:16 (MEV) For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?”[Isaiah 40:13 (MEV) Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, or as His counselor has taught Him?] But we have the mind of Christ.

In the blessed and wonderful name of Jesus Christ I do pray this all—AMEN!

Spread the love
