A Lesson Learned

1 Thessalonians 5:12-28 (NIV) 12 Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. 13 Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. 14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt 21 but test them all; hold on to what is good, 22 reject every kind of evil.
23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
25 Brothers and sisters, pray for us. 26 Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss. 27 I charge you before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers and sisters.
28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

There is a large amount of scripture here and I am posting it all for it is a group however the part I wish to concentrate on is verse 22. Why one might ask just this verse well I think it is a place where we as Christians do not do. Paul tells us here to reject, refuse to accept, submit to, believe, or make use of, every kind of evil. Now I am getting nosy and I know however that is what I do. There is a reason, how many times do we sit through a commercial on TV, and they are getting worse all the time. In that commercial [this part is for men] there will be a sexy lady there and our mind drift, or even walking through a store, and eyes wonders. There are so many temptations out there for male and female. It is time that we start taking control of our lives.

The enemy is using any and everything he can to capture us. It is time that we get back in charge of our lives. How many times has a driver cut you off or just totally do something stupid. Or a person is disrespectful or a sales clerk is having a bad day and one feels like they are taking it out on us. Try this the next time you walk up to a check out and the employee looks like the world is on their shoulders, just smile at them and see what happens. Sometimes words are not needed, a loved one or a mate might just need a hug. Men when is the last time you called your wife our walked up to her and said I Love You for no reason. When is the last time you told her how much you appreciated what she does or ladies the same goes for you. Trust me I know both ways.

We need to be aware of what the enemy is pulling. Is the end near I have no idea, however that is not a question I worry about I worry about are you ready to go if it is right now. See what people do not wish to talk about is today I am one day closer to going home. That we have no control over what our Lord and Savior decides to do. A fact is once we take a breath we have only one thing left to do… You guessed it…

It is time that we start living like the people we claim to be. Now I am sure I am going to get some I am remarks. So if you are thinking about it I am not talking to you. I am talking to the ones that claim to be Christians and are thinking he has no right to say that. Or I dare him to say that, those are the ones this is addressed to. This is not a game it is a way of life. There is not one person that is going to slip into Heaven, no one is going to sneak in on another persons coat-tail. Our relationship with our Father is a one person thing and we get in on our own merit. Going to church on Sunday or claiming to being a Christian has nothing to do with it. NO ONE can fool God NO ONE that person is only fooling themselves.

There are a lot people falling into the verse 19 group as well. I do not understand all the hows and whys that happen, I am not that smart however, I do understand that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose Romans 8:28 (NIV) so can I explain everything No, do I understand everything NO however I do trust my God and that is what I live on and through. I trust God.

I do pray and hope that this will help you come closer to our God our Lord and our Savior. My desire is that all that are here and involved learn to totally walk by Faith and let it be A Lesson Learned.

Memory Verse for May 7, 2015

Romans 8:28 (NIV) 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

May God be with you and watch over you. And America it is time for us to BLESS GOD again…

1 Corinthians 9:19 [NKJV] For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more;
