A Thought For Us To Think About This Day

A thought came to me and I thought I would offer it up and see what happens. Sometimes I think we as Christians take things for granted like our salvation. Or a real big one is our Father! Do we believe that He loves us so much that we can just ignore and go on with life then when something goes wrong we say a 30 second pray and He will take care if it?

When was the last time that one just prayed and thanked our Father for what He has seen us through and in the whole pray did not ask for anything, just praised Him? When was the last time we avoided an accident and thanked Him for protecting us. These questions could go on and on, but the truth is a lot of us only pray when we need something.

How about, when is the last time one sat and read the Bible, not looking for anything actually just reading His word? I remember when I first got saved the church had a read the Bible in a year thing going on. When you did it you got a certificate saying you did it. Well I did it and got it then after thinking about it I through it away.

I did read the Bible, sort of, did not do it to learn anything I did it to get that certificate. Every time now when I am looking for something I can end up reading and reading. These groups have let me learn more about our Father than anyone can believe because I am not reading to receive any kind of payment.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV) 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [training or discipline]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

There is a mouth full, ALL scripture not some or part but ALL scripture is inspired by our Father. I have heard this statement over and over “that book you believe in is full of contradictions” I have not found one yet.

First off if one is not saved and they try reading the Bible all they will get out of it is they need to get right with our Lord… And if anyone would go look up what they are talking about it is not a contradiction at all.

I had one try that with me about in Matthew it says that Joseph’s father was Jacob Matthew 1:16 and in Luke the name was Heli, Luke 3:23, as was supposed. However if one would go read in https://www.quora.com/Who-is-Joseph’s-father-in-the-Bible. It goes a whole lot deeper then a verse in the Bible and the main thing is 3 words (as was supposed).

That is what I am saying reading the Bible unsaved is like being an American born and raised and trying to read a book of Greek written in Greek. One would not understand any of it. So I will leave you with this thought…
