We should not be afraid of the Holy Spirit. We should love Him; huge Him; and be filled with Him. Except the power of God that is or should be inside of each of us! There are many verses about the Holy Spirit or Ghost, however I have chosen these four for this lesson or teaching.

John 14:25-26 (NIRV) 25 “I have spoken all these things while I am still with you.  26 But the Father will send the Friend in my name to help you. The Friend is the Holy Spirit. He will teach you all things. He will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Matthew 12:32 (NIRV) 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven. But anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. A person like that won’t be forgiven either now or in days to come.

1 Thessalonians 1:5 (NIRV) 5 Our good news didn’t come to you only in words. It came with power. It came with the Holy Spirit’s help. He gave us complete faith in what we were preaching. You know how we lived among you for your good.

The verses we just read or very powerful and straight to the point. At first I was bothered about writing this after praying and asking for help, I got help and now I am even bothered more, however the Holy Spirit is here and this is what I fill I have to so so here it is.

We all understand and believe that God is in Heaven and that Jesus is setting at the right hand of the Father. With that said then the Holy Spirit is here to guide us and lead us, so that is the reason for this message.

First we find Jesus comforting His Disciples and reminding them of what he has said while he is here on earth, however he must go to the Father and be at His right hand. A Friend will be HERE and He is the Holy Spirit and He will be the teacher, so we need to listen for the Holy Spirit. It is a conversation so if you ask a question listen for the response. When we pray we need to listen as much as we pray if not more because again “He will teach us all things.”

Now we find in Matthew that “if anyone speaks against the Holy Spirit they WILL NOT be forgiven and it does say now or in days to come”. So is the Holy Spirit important yes and we need to listen.  By not listening are we saying we do not believe in the Holy Spirit?  I feel that is what not listening is a rejection of the Holy Spirit.

Let me ask you a question. If you had a friend or a relative, that you spend a lot amour of time with, and they are going to buy gas, for their can and say the station they are going to is at $3.79 a gallon. You know a station right down the street for $3.49 and you tell them, however they do not listen and pulls into the higher one. This friend or relative wished to buy a flat screen TV for only $129 however you know where they can get the same TV for $149 and it comes with a 3 year extended warranty, however again they buys the lower priced one. This goes on for weeks, months or years, I think you get the point. The question is how long before you give in or stop talking? Think about it that could be the Holy Spirit talking to you… Are you listening?

I have no idea when he stops talking or if he will. However if we do not listen it is possible that some will say they do not believe in such a thing as a Holy Spirit. We see in John and Matthew what WILL happen. “anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.” In fact it says that “either now or in days to come.” So I think this is very important, again I say we need to learn to listen… Are you listening?

Now let us look at why we need to listen and hear what is said in 1 Thessalonians 1:5 this message did not come only in words. It came with power. It came with the Holy Spirit’s help. So if anyone or everyone is hearing what I am saying we need to listen to and for the Holy Spirit and again I ask… Are you listening?
