Be Separate

by Jym Wells 13/18/2015 I am thinking of the passage Romans 7:14-16 (NIV) 14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.. Paul’s train of thought continues to the end of the chapter Romans 7:25 (NIV) Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature [Or in the flesh] a slave to the law of sin. Paul is talking about the constant battle between a Christian’s spiritual nature, and the will. The spiritual nature, which desires to unselfishly be and do good then we have the “will”, and the physical nature, which insists on pleasing itself [the flesh]. Let us now look at Matthew 26:41 (NIV) “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Well we have to be aware of what is going on around us and ready for what is going to come after us. We desire to do good however this-worldly flesh is like a drug and we are addicted to it. So we need to die of the flesh, stop with the drug. Our rehab is Jesus Christ and what he did for us our 6 steps are: 1. Prayer… We need to pray daily and be ready to pray at any time. 2. Studying… we need to read and study the word daily. 3. Attendance… we need to find a good spirit filled Church. 4. Our Walk… needs to change. 5. Our Talk... needs to change. 6. Our Attitude… we need to believe “Greater is He that is in use than he that is in the world. Well what I am saying is that it is time for us to really pick a side. there is no slipping into Heaven. No one can ride in on someone else’s coat-tail. One can not live two lives. We are either in or out, Heaven or hell, God or the enemy. There is no way to walk on both sides of the street, no fence setting. I will end with this scripture. Isaiah 52:11 (NIV) Depart, depart, go out from there! touch no unclean thing! Come out from it and be pure, you who carry the articles of the Lord’s house. And 2 Corinthians 6:17 (NIV) 17 Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” God bless and I do hope this is helpful in your walk. Memory Verse for March 18, 2015 2 Corinthians 6:17 (NIV) 17 Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” May God be with you and watch over you. And America it is time for us to BLESS GOD again… 1 Corinthians 9:19 [NKJV] For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more;
