2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
If anyone is in Christ. Are we Saved, are we Christians? If so “old things have passed away” that is what I am talking about. The past is just that the past it is there and we remember where we were and what we did however why? If we are “a new creation” we have no past… Does a new born baby have a past? Only the 9 months in mom’s tummy and that is it. So let’s see in John 3:3 (NKJV) Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:7 (NKJV) Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
I to am guilty of this and I work at not being and it will sneak it’s head in when I am lest expecting it and I work at getting rid of the past and letting it be just that, the past…
Let us start working on living now and forget that before we were saved. So, in ending let me end with this scripture 1 Peter 1:22-25 (NKJV) 22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, 24 because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, 25 But the word of the Lord endures forever.”
