Confidence Hold Firmly To It And The Hope

Confidence is what we are holding firmly to, the hope and encouragement to one another, for this is what we are to do as children of our Father.  This is the reason as a family to encourage one another. To lift up and pray with and for each other as we face this unGodly world.

Hebrews 3:6 (NIV) But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.

So Christ is over us for we are God’s house. We are the house or Church and Jesus came to fulfill the law of God and finish the work. We are saved by the Grace of God through Jesus Christ by faith. We must stand strong with the confidence and knowledge that we are the children of the most high King and that His son died and shed His blood so that we might live.

Now if you hear his voice DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS as we will do when things do not go the way we think it should. Blaming God for it getting angry about it as we did before we were saved. It is easy for fall back and guess who is waiting there for you. The accuser to enforce the feeling.

Twice in this chapter we are told NOT TO HARDEN OUR HEARTS verse 8 and 15 and both times the word REBELLION follows. We all need to let go and let God we need to trust in Him to take us where he desires us to be. So let me finish this devotional with these verses…

Hebrews 3:12-14 12 See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. 14 We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.

Today let us encourage one another and have the confidence so that we will not be tripped up by satan [the accuser] or the devil [the slanderer] and fall back into those worldly ways and be hardened by sin’s DECEITFULNESS.
