Delayed obedience is Disobedience

I hear this statement one Wednesday night at church from the pastor’s wife, delayed obedience is disobedience I thought about it then packed it in my memory, After thinking about it for a while today I think it is pretty simple to figure out. What is obedience and what is delayed so let us take a look at it. So the first thing I did was pray and ask for forgiveness for not being obedient and doing what I was asked at the time. Just so you know I have asked for forgiveness.

Obedience

1 : an act or instance of obeying
a : the quality or state of being obedient

2 : a sphere of jurisdiction; especially : an ecclesiastical or sometimes secular dominion

Delayed

1 :  the act of delaying…
a : the state of being delayed

b : an instance of being delayed
2 : the time during which something is delayed.

Disobedience

1 : refusal or failure to obey rules, laws, etc.
a : lack of obedience

OK so let’s see to be disobedient is to refuse to follow instruction when one is told to. That is sort of like the 10 Commandments are just that Commandments, they are not suggestions. They are not when you get ready they are COMMANDMENTS, I understand sin and I understand forgiveness. I think that we are to work at getting it right and asking for forgiveness when we do not. it is sort of like a message I spoke one evening at the Salvation Army Men’s Shelter. I took it from Exodus 8 [Full Chapter] Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me. If you refuse to let them go, I will send a plague of frogs on your whole country. The Nile will teem with frogs. They will come up into your palace and your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and on your people, and into your ovens and kneading troughs.

Exodus 8:2-9
2 If you refuse to let them go, I will send a plague of frogs on your whole country. 3 The Nile will teem with frogs. They will come up into your palace and your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and on your people, and into your ovens and kneading troughs. 4 The frogs will come up on you and your people and all your officials.’” 5 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff over the streams and canals and ponds, and make frogs come up on the land of Egypt.’” 6 So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land. 7 But the magicians did the same things by their secret arts; they also made frogs come up on the land of Egypt. 8 Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray to the Lord to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices to the Lord.” 9 Moses said to Pharaoh, “I leave to you the honor of setting the time for me to pray for you and your officials and your people who you and your houses may be rid of the frogs, except for those that remain in the Nile.”

Now imagine this happening to you the same way and the obedient thing would be to follow the instructions instantly not to have the frogs running wild everywhere and I do mean everywhere. However delayed obedient is to say OK you can get rid of them tomorrow or the next day, because that is the way we are with sin. Let’s hang onto it one more day and I will pray about it tomorrow, one more night with the frogs,. Then one day there is no tomorrow. That is the way some are about getting saved the wish to hang on to the frogs one more day, wish to wallow in the pig pen another day, delayed obedience is disobedience. When the Holy Spirit says let’s do this, it is time to be obedient not disobedient and just do it now. So please think about this thought and have a talk with God our Father and get it right,

Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And America it is time for us to BLESS GOD again…

Isaiah 46:4 (NKJV) Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.

  1. I say I would do it when I”m told to do it but in a case of Gods timing, such as one day when I was making up my bed Holy Spirit said to me you are going to Mississippi to see your cousin in jail and I want you to talk to him and I was Like ok when you want me to go I will. So a few days past and he said go and I did. Everyone was saying its not visiting hours on Sunday they wont let you. So I knew they would because God told me I obeyed and I went to the jail Told them I wanted to see my cousin its been many years and its sort of a kind of live and die. I had some Christian magazines and my pictures from my 1 st liver TP. And they said you cant see him today and I said I have to drive all the way back home and I needed to see him he said well let me call so and so so I stepped back to the wall and said ok its your turn. Well he said I couldn’t get him on the phone and at that very moment the guy walks in I tell him my story and he said well I guess for a little bit. WOOO HOOO!!!!~ YOU GO GOD!! I couldn’t help myself just then a memory of God”s awesomeness!!!~ But I obeyed it just one of those you wait for the green light!!
