1 Thessalonians 4:3-7 (MEV) 3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality, 4 that each one of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5 not in the lust of depravity, even as the Gentiles who do not know God, 6 and that no man take advantage of and defraud his brother in any matter, because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, as we also have forewarned you and testified. 7 For God has not called us to uncleanness, but to holiness.

Something that I find interesting is in verse three Paul is writing about sexual immorality and in verse 6 or in the same breath he is writing about defrauding one’s brother. The reason I say in one breath is 4 and 5 end with commas then at the end of verse 6 there is a period. A comma is used to slow one down to take a short breath and then go on a period is the end of the statement.

Paul is putting sexual immorality and defrauding someone in the same boat. I like that for sin is sin there is no little sin or big sin no worse sin… Sin is a sin it is all the same and it is about time that the so-called, body of Christ, started examining itself. I am as guilty as anyone else and yes I am working on it the question is, is each one doing it every person is responsible for one’s self. Why does one worry about the speck in one’s neighbor’s eye when one has a plank in their own eye.

Time to be accountable… Is it time yet?
