Fighting THE Good Fight To Win The Greatest Prize What Is That?

Fighting the good fight is the word of Paul and I felt lead to go a little deeper into that. Then I kept finding more and more scripture—are we fighting the good fight or are we fighting a good fight? That is the question that I am going to try and answer…

2 Timothy 4:7 (NKJV) I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

If there was ever a New Years Resolution here it is “Fighting The Good Fight or Fighting A Good Fight. One little word becomes one of the most powerful words I have ever seen. The or A what is the difference? Good question, A good fight is fighting and trying to win what— fight that is right there in front of you? Fighting The good fight is knowing what you are fighting for not just to win a fight but, fighting for a purpose deeper than at the moment—buy for the finish when it is all over and winning the final prize. Heaven!

Paul learned what he was fighting for and through the Bible, we can find a multitude of scriptures that we can use for us to know what we are fighting for:
1 Peter 2:22 “He committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth.” (Read the whole chapter to get the whole story)
Galatians 2:20 (NKJV) 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

How many of us can repeat Paul’s words here? The church building is full of people claiming to be Christians and their testimony says something else. None of us are perfect however we can work towards it and that is “The Good Fight” and to those that are saying or about to say I am judging I will end with this scripture John 15:5, Matthew 3:10, Matthew 7:16-20, Matthew 7:18-23, Matthew 12:33-37, Luke 3:9

I will end with this scripture John 15:4-5 (NKJV) 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
