Fighting The Enemy Understanding who & what he is

Mark 3:27 (NKJV) No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.

I read this verse over and over, in fact I looked at some commentaries and did not find much. However I have a Father that knows it all so I am going to attempt to say what I am getting from this verse…

No one can enter a strong man’s house. First the strong man I believe is a born again Christian. Then we see unless he first binds the strong man. Now how can he do that? Good question first we have to figure out what he is talking about.

What is our enemy up to? We find in John 10:10 that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy what? Our spirit is what, that is what is looking for a place to take a hold and start. He will start the lies how do I know that one might say we read in the Bible in John 8:44 that he is a liar and the father of it.

So he finds and opening and starts telling us lies. You messed up God is done with you, see I told you you could not do it and on and on and on. He wants to kill your spirit so you will not talk about our Lord. If he can convince you then he can come steal and plunder your house…

He is out to steal your joy, your happiness, take your thoughts. That is why we have 2 Corinthians 10:5b bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Now I am sure there is someone saying how can I do that?

Again we turn to the Bible we find 2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV) Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

And then we come to the bottom line Ephesians 6:10-18 (NKJV) 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the [schemings]wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [this darkness, ]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

These Scriptures are about what we need and what for. Once we have done all we can do and he keeps coming that we put on the whole armor of God so that we can withstand whatever he throws at us, or shots at us. Once we have done all we can the STAND…
