Game Day

Romans 8:6-8 (NKJV)

I sit here for the day reading things that other post. The prayer request, the prayers prayed and I can not help myself from wondering. There are 648 people registered to Abound Love Ministries Worldwide ®  We have a web site. I say a prayer everyday morning and evening. I have started praying before I come to the groups. Out of all the registered members we have less than a 125 that actually pray or at least like something. Now I am not a numbers person, however I can not help wondering how many are just playing Christian. Using a term used quite often today… Today is Game Day. I think it is time to take off the gloves and get serious about Who What and Why of being a Christian is about. In fact every day is Game Day when it comes to our Lord and our Savior.

I hear it all the time; “Well see I have to fix breakfast and get the kid off, or I have to get ready to go to work, or I just do not have the time”. We have the time to sit in front of a TV or listen to our favorite station on the radio, out favorite book or video.  We can sit on the phone and talk we have Blue Tooth so we can talk.  We have time for anything we want however we do not have time to pray– Until we need something, you know what I am saying like a sickness or a death in the family, you know what I am saying.  The morning prayer I get likes.  The devotionals I get likes and a few comments. How many actually read it well it is fewer than the number of likes.  Now I am not about numbers I truly am about the people.  My desire is the people.  Do I have needs you bet I do and I am thankful for those who have come along side me and help monthly or even a one time gift.  For they are helping to get the word out.

So that is the reason for Romans 8:6-8. See this is not a game it is real life. How many times have I read why does God send people to hell. He does not send anyone to hell they chose to go. We read in Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus is speaking “not everyone to says to me Lord Lord will enter the Kingdom”. Revelation 20:11-13 we read here were each one of us will be judged and that is by our God not some person in a long black robe sitting behind a big polished throne. Then we read in Matthew 10:28; So then why do I say, “God doesn’t send anyone to hell… People choose to go there”? If not because they do not comprehend the righteous judgment of God? Nor the total depravity of man.

We have time for everything however never have time to sit down and read the word. You can listen to the word on the way to work there are all sort of ways to listen. One can pray as one drives we can teach our children to pray walking the halls of school. It is time to stop with the excuses for that is what they are. There is not one reason for not listening to God. I think I have heard every excuse there is and none of them hold water. There is a judgement coming, believe it or not. It is time to understand that we have a choice, I pray that those that read this become BOLD about our Lord and stop with excuses and for lack of a better word let us call a SPADE a SPADE…

Just in case someone thinks this a racial thing I will submit this definition from Ellie Kesselman;
A moocher or a sponge or a freeloader or a scrounger have similar meanings to each other, but different from deadbeat. All are cheapskates, consistently taking advantage of the generosity or obliviousness of others in a non-business context. These terms do not necessarily, or even customarily, refer to taking money, but rather, sharing a ride but not reciprocating as promised, sharing a hotel room at a convention but not contributing to the expenses etc.

Memory Verse for August 9, 2015

Romans 3:10

May God be with you and watch over you. And America it is time for us to BLESS GOD again…

Psalm 5:8 (NKJV)
Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; Make Your way straight before my face.
