Good  To Know To Do Good And Does Not Do It

GOOD what is it why did James say To Know to do GOOD and does not do it and then to say it is sin? James 4:17 (NKJV) Therefore, to him who knows to do GOOD and does not do it, to him it is sin. I like the way it is stated in the New International Readers Version it says it this way James 4:17 (NIRV) So suppose someone knows the GOOD DEEDS they should do. But suppose they don’t do them. By not doing these GOOD DEEDS, they sin.

As I read this scripture this is not about one little thing it is about life in general. That is why I posted the NIRV, it says good deeds plural then just for looking I looked up deeds and I found this:

Deeds– Something that is carried out. an act or action, usually praiseworthy act. Action or performance in general: DEEDS, not words, matter most. Then we have what it means in LAW: A signed, sealed, and delivered instrument. An instrument conveying an interest in real property. That is what we could call the Bible and it was signed, sealed, and delivered by the shed blood of Jesus and the Bible is the real property.

I think this makes the deeds very important, the key word in this is GOOD to mean there are good and also there is bad deeds. That is why we have the Bible we need to read it and study it and really understand right and wrong. I was raised in a time win one was rewarded in a positive way for a GOOD deed and punished for a bad one. Today has been turned around to a point where our children is rewarded period and it is not only the children the adults of this generation have been taught by the same rules. GOOD DEEDS means nothing.

The truth of it all is we need to wake up and when we can do something do it and the key word is can, I can not go to say Africa and feed a person however I can here where I live. I can not go to Iraq or Iran and preach the Gospel however I can here on Facebook. One might say I do not have the ability to pray a great prayer I do not have the words. A simple honest pray from the heart is the best prayer in the world. I have never felt that I could speak or write as good as others. I was placed in a position that made me do it. Guess what if we will listen to the Holy Spirit he will lead and guide us through what God has for us to do. So let us do it and trust in the Lord…

Memory Verse for January 1, 2016

James 4:17 (NKJV) Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And World it is time for us to BLESS GOD again…

Isaiah 46:4 (NKJV) Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.

Dont cause your brother to fall by the way you live. If you feel its ok to eat a steak and he thinks he should not then dont do it
In front of him. If His convictions are different than yours dont cause him to fall by your way you live. If what he thinks is a sin and dose anyway then he has sined. But if he dont think its he dosent. This is hard explain. But Jym.you know what I mean!!!
    This is good Jym !!!

    1. That is where scripture comes into it Gina and the the debate starts and that is not of Go so the best thing is pray and let the Holy Spirit show them where they are wrong.
