Heaven  Worthy That is the Question

Heaven worthy, we are all born in a sin filled world and we have a choice to accept or not accept. God does not send people to hell they made the choice by refusing God.

Joshua 24:14-15   14” Now, therefore, fear the lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the river and in Egypt. Serve the Lord!” 15 ”And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your father served that were on the other side of the river, are the gods of the Amirates in which land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Why do we want to go to heaven?  To be Heaven worthy one must search their hearts and ask themselves that. Am I wanting to go just to escape hell? There are some who were taught and believe that you can enter Heaven just by being good.

We read in Matthew 7:21-23   21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’, to enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven. 22 many will say to me in that day ‘Lord, Lord have not we prophesied in your name, cast out demons in your name, and done many wonders in your name?” 23 ” and then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you depart from Me you who practice lawlessness!”

Wanting to go to heaven Starts HERE AND NOW!  To be heaven worthy, we all must know God in our hearts. We must know Him so we can stand against satan also. God wants all of us to join Him in heaven. The choices hours though every read in john 3:16″ for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that who so ever (everyone) believes on him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

We need to ask ourselves, or we cold, lukewarm or are we hot (on fire for Christ)? As we read in Revelations 3:15-16   15  “I know your works, that you are neither cold or hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 so then because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth.”

LUKEWARM= I compare it to being “good”.

We find the explanation As we read 2 Peter 2:20-21   20 ” they were made for you from the evil in the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But if the return to evil things and those things control them then it is worse for them than it was before. 21  yes it would be better for them to have never known the right way. Then to know it and to turn away from the holy teaching that was given to them.

Memory Verse for April 1, 2016
