It’s Time To Get Out of Here

Acts 12:11 (NKJV) And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.”
OK we are going to look at a coupe Scriptures and I home it will help us understand what happened and why it happened.
Herod killed Johns brother James and it please a lot of Jews so Herod decided that he would kill Peter. He found him and he took 4 squads of soldiers to guard him. Until Passover was over then he would take Peter before the Jews and kill him. However God had His own plan. This Angel showed up while the guards slept and woke Peter up and said it’s time to get out of here so put on your shoes and let us get going. Then the chains fell off Peter and the gates opened and they left.
Then verse 11 comes into play Peter now understands that the Lord sent His Angel to set Peter free. My question though is why did it all happen. Let us look at Acts 12:5 (NKJV) Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant[constantly or earnestly] prayer was offered to God for him by the church.
By who was the prayer offered up, was it Peter which I am sure he was praying however the church was praying for him and the way it sounds is it was not a 10 minute thing or even and hour thing it was constant non stop. So the churches pray was answered and Peter reaped the work of the church. It is time that the church [body of Christ] gets busy in prayer if we wish to see things change. It is time for us to really get busy and pray and see some chains removed.

James 5:16 (NKJV) Confess your trespasses[your sins] to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

I say its time to get out of our comfort zone off the pews and break these chains and in prayer and stand up for we believe in and show the hand of God and make believers out of those that are lost!!
