Jesus could have been ANYTHING, after all, He WAS the Son of God. Why was He made to be a carpenter? God used everything about Jesus as a teaching method for US.

Where does wood come from? Trees! Matthew 3:10 (NKJV) Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him.

Jesus with His hands, reshaped wood to form it into something useful. Jesus with his life reshaped us by the shed blood of Salvation, for the remission of sins.

Mark 6:4 (NKJV) But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.”

Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.
