Killing Our Philistine, Our Enemy, God’s Victory

Killing the enemy is a duty we, as Christians need to remove him from our lives we need to destroy him from every corner of our lives. There is no, and I repeat NO middle ground.

Killing Our Philistine, Our Enemy, God's Victory

2 Samuel 23:12 (NKJV) But he stationed himself in the middle of the field, defended it, and killed the Philistines. So the Lord brought about a great victory.

We are in a war with an enemy that has already been defeated, however, in his mind he is as God and he will do all he can to kill our spirit, to still our happiness, and destroy our willingness to share the salvation of Jesus. Let us look at Matthew 7:13-14 (NKJV) 13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Many do not wish to read or understand this scripture because it hit home. The wide road is referring, I believe, to the one trying to stand on the middle ground. Not wanting to give up the things of the world. When I read 2 Samuel 23:12 I thought about this…

Let us take that verse and remove the he and change it to I. I stood in the middle of the field, the field being the area one lives in, and I killed the enemy, the defeated on. The devil. I lead them to the Lord and took them out of the grip of satan the defeated one. Are we willing and ready to kill the enemy? That is the challenge today are we ready to bring for a great victory from our field
