Listen and Hear Me My People

Listen to me and I will war you– if we would only listen. It seems that today most will tell you they pray at night and in the morning over breakfast. The night prayer is with child and then they go back to the TV.

Psalm 81:8-9 (NIV) 8 Hear me, my people, and I will warn you— if you would only listen to me, Israel! 9 You shall have no foreign god among you; you shall not worship any god other than me.

When is the last time one prayed with a mate and sat and let the children pray then dad (if there is one) then stopped and listened for God. I saw something Sunday that I am going to write about for families and I think it is one of the neatest things I have seen in a long time. Now I do know there are not dads in some families nor is there moms in some. However we should still pray with them.

I took care of my boys for three years because My ex could not control them. Now I am not saying I was a great dad for I know I made mistakes. However we prayed in the morning and the evening and over each meal I taught them to say yes Ma’am yes Sir and no Ma’am and Sir. My oldest worked at Wendy’s and his manager told him to stop that. He came home and told me and I said I would take care of it.

So I went to the Wendy’s one afternoon when it was slow and I placed the order and she called it out and he replied yes Ma’am and she got a look of aggravation. I looked at her and smiled seems like a very good employ. Yes he is but the yes ma’am no ma’am is driving me crazy and I said well he is my son and she turned back at me with this look of shock. I said very directly he does that because I told him to if he stops it I will remove him for you. So now it is totally up to you– you decide if he stays or not. Well he stayed and he stayed polite. I hope we got something out of this for we need to listen to God and our children it is our job to teach and train them to grow up,
