Judaism, Not Christianity I Wish To Live The Bible

You are living Judaism, not Christianity. This was said to me this morning in a responce to my morning prayer. 6 times we are told to love our Father with ALL of our So I thought I would respond to the remark this way…
Judaism:
1. The monotheistic religion of the Jews, tracing its origins to Abraham and having its spiritual and ethical principles embodied chiefly in the Hebrew Scriptures and the Talmud.
2. Conformity to the traditional ceremonies and rites of the Jewish religion.
3. The cultural, religious, and social practices and beliefs of the Jews.
Christianity:
A religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus. Most forms of Christianity hold that Jesus is the son of God and is the second person of the Trinity, through whom humans may attain redemption from sin.

I used a secular song by Kenny Loggins and Jimmy Massina named “Same Old Wine” There is a few lines it it that talks about religion “Go to church on Sunday and forget it all on Monday” and unfortunately that is so true today. People seem to think that Sunday is enough for God if you will give Him a couple hours or so on Sunday then he will let you slid for the rest of the week… Ain’t so, God does not want part of you He wants all of you.

Does that mean you are going to do it right all the time? Does it mean you are not allowed to make mistakes? No–it does mean you are allowed to be covered with the blood of Jesus it does mean that if one repents that one is covered. We are to try and live as God dsires we have to work at it and trust that we are forgiven. Forgiven if we repent.

Reminds me of a story about a flood it has rained for days and water is covering the ground and a boat shows up to take a man to safety and he refuses saying “I am a believer and I will wait upon the Lord to deliver me” so the boat moves on. The next day another boat shows up and again “I am a believer and I will wait upon the Lord to deliver me” and the boat moves on. Now the house is covered with water and a helicopter shows up drops a ladder down and gets the same response “I am a believer and I will wait upon the Lord to deliver me” Then the water washes him away and he drowns.
He is now in Heaven and he looks at the Lord and asks Him why did you not save me I trusted you with my life completely and you let me drown. The Lord responds, “I sent 2 boats and a helicopter… That is us in a nut shell.
