Deuteronomy 32:35-36 (NKJV) 35 Vengeance is Mine, and recompense; Their foot shall slip in due time; For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things to come hasten upon them.’ 36 “For the Lord will judge His people And have compassion on His servants, When He sees that their power is gone, And there is no one remaining, bond or free.
We find this again in Hebrews 10:30 (NKJV) 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”[Deuteronomy 32:35 (NKJV)] says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.”[Deuteronomy 32:36 (NKJV)]. When that time comes it will be too late to get saved. For judgment, time has come. The day of reckoning will be upon us.
Thus the reason for learning and knowing the scriptures is what is important for that way one can minister to the lost and know what needs to be said and done. Then when one is asked a question he will know the answer. The word of God is sharper than a double-edged sword rightly dividing the word. Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV) If there is a rightly way then there must be a wrongly way. There is enough wrongly, in fact, there is way too much wrongly.
We all need to become that bright shining light and we can do that by knowing, speaking and using the living word of the Bible. The light from a single match, in total darkness, can be seen from the length of 3 football fields. So yes we are the light in a darkened world so we can do it…
