John 8:12 (CJB) Yeshua spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world; whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light which gives life.”
If one was in a place of total darkness. If a match was lite one could see that light from the length of 3 football fields. So that is why our Lord is “The Light of The World”. Before I was saved I never thought much about it– once saved my eyes were opened to the fact that darkness is from the enemy. When a room has the light one the darkness is nothing more than a shadow. That darkness nor shadow is the enemy and he is always there lying to anyone that will listen.
If we fill ourselves with the word of our Father He will not allow darkness in. The enemy can not get into a lite room Light being the word of our Lord and darkness being the defeated on light wins out every time.
I challenge you to start memorizing one scripture if it be one a week or month, or for some if you do one a day. Start memorizing scripture and see your life change. If one is not happy in the light one can always turn the light back out and stumble around in total darkness.
