The Lords Prayer The Directions For Praying

Our Lords teaching is how we learn and our Lord gives us example of a prayer. He says pray like this… He shows us how to pray and receive an answer. Our Lord gives us the way to pray here…

Matthew 6:9-13 (MEV) 9 “Therefore pray in this manner:
Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.n verse 5 that we should NOT pray like the hypocrites who pray in the synagogues and on the street corners that they may be seen by men.

Yes, there is a time for open prayer and I do understand that. However  some things I do not understand but, we are not going to get into that right now.

Therefore Pray In This Manner

The Lord then gives us an example of how to pray.

To our Father Who Is In Heaven Hallowed Be Your Name

The Lord Will Be Done On Earth As It Is In Heaven

Are we saying here that we are asking for His will to be done NOT our will but, His will.

Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread

Thanking Him for what he gives us without even asking.

For Give Us Our Sins As We Forgive Others

We need to ask for forgiveness of our sins (because we all have sinned). We should forgive those that have sinned against us. I do believe here we need to make sure that we have forgiven anyone that has done anything to us…

We can pray asking for the needs that we are placing before Him. We next thanked Him and we told Him we understand who He is and what He can and will do for us. The closing then comes… 

Lead Us Not Into Temptation

Lord let us know right from wrong, good from bad…

But Delivers Us From Evil

We are saying here that we know the difference between Godly and evil and please keep us and forgive us of our sinful ways.

For Yours Is The Kingdom, The Power, And The Glory

Finishing up our prayer saying we know He is in Heaven. We all should  desire to be one day. We now give Him all. Knowing He has all the Power to do as we ask. The glory is all His in all that we say and do…

I hope maybe this helps us all learn about praying. Going to Psalms and see how David prayed and I think one might see where I got these thoughts about praying. I do now close this devotional praying that this is a tool that all can use… In the precious name of Jesus I do pray this all—AMEN!
