The Morning Prayer and the Devotional is about who do we trust and who do we believe in… Do we believe the Bible or do we believe the world? One is our Father the other is our enemy.

Are We Trusting God or the devil? Do We Talk To our Lord About Everything

by Jym Wells

Psalm 121:7-8 (NKJV) 7 The Lord shall [keep]preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. 8 The Lord shall [keep]preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.

I have heard it said over and over “if that God that you love is so great then why did my [who ever] die. Well according to Philippians 1:21 (NKJV) to live is Christ, and to die is GAIN. Some times it is time to go HOME saved or unsaved.

Proverbs 28:1 (NKJV) The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.

I told this story a few years back but I think it is a good example. I was teaching as a substitute teacher for a high school Sunday School class, and a young lady was killed in a ATV accident. The kids in the class were all upset because their friend died and the girl riding on the back lived. The young lady that died was a Christian and the one that lived was not.

They were going on and on about why did God do that, and the more they talked the madder they got at God. So I walked up front and asked them this question. Are you angry at God because he took a Christian home or because he left and unsaved young lady here? Then it got very quiet and I continued, would you have rather the unsaved young lady died and went to hell and you still have your friend?

Your friend is gone HOME yes and her lost friend has a chance to come to know the Lord and go to Heaven one day. It was amazing how quiet the class got. The next thing I asked was do any of you believe that God did not know what was going to happen if they went over that hill to fast?

What should be happening is we pray for the lost young lady that she comes to know the Lord and that our friend is now HOME with her Father and there is no more suffering or pain in her life. I know you all loved her and will miss her, but would you try this, when you think about your friend pray for the young lady’ that she died for, will get saved….

Well Sunday School was a time of prayer and I think most of the young people there prayed and they were sincere prayers from repenting to thanking our Father. Did the young lady ever get saved I do not know, I am believing she did for there were a bunch of prayers going up for her. And yes she did come to church. One day I will know if she did accept Jesus.

Lord that is what we need to be doing now instead of pointing fingers and getting down in the Pig Pen with the enemy we need to be praying that the lost get saved and that blind eyes be opened to Your will. I think it is time for Christians to become Christians and listen to the Luke 15:11-32 the Parable of the Lost Son When he said in verse 21, basically, I had rather be a servant in my fathers house that to eat with the pigs.

We need to make that same decision. Do we wish to be a SERVANT of the Lord or be in PIG PEN with the enemy? That is the two choices, in or out, good or bad, God or satan. However one chooses it is up to each of us. Things are going to change either for the GOOD our Father or BAD for the enemy. The answer is our choice to make… Who’s side are we going to be on? Are we really Christians or not that is the question?

Lord I feel this devotional and prayer is a word from You and Lord I am praying that we take Your way and not the enemies. I pray now when we see and read these statements from the enemies workers, that instead of getting down in the PIG PEN with them that we get down on our knees and pray for them to have the scales removed from their eyes so they can see the truth. I now pray this in the Wonderful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior—AMEN!
