Father I am late again but I woke up and it’s cold and I was so warm in bed I went back to sleep. Thank You for watching over us as we slept. Thank You for keeping my mind clean and clear as I slept for I know the enemy desires to slip in as we sleep.
Yes it is cold but we do have a home to go into and a place that is warm. Thank You for supplying our needs. Sometimes I get that greedy bug looking at others and what they have and forget what I have. You have supplied us with a home, transportation, and food to eat. There are so many things that You do for us and we don’t even ask.

As I sit here quietly waiting for the Holy Spirit to speak to me I realized that there is so much that You do for us and we do not ask for or thank You for. The air we breathe, a wake up or a night of rest. Protection as we drive and on and on. The one that I love is prayer, we do not have to have the exactly the correct words to say what do need though is to pray and to listen for the answers.
I remember getting in my car to go somewhere and asking the Holy Spirit which way I should go. Then I would take off being lead by you. When did I stop that and why? I need You every minute of my life to direct me and lead me. I let that slip away somewhere and I do not remember where or when and I want it back.
Without You I am just a clinging cymbal with no direction. As I stop and thing I remember Mary and Martha and the worship and serving of Jesus…
Luke 10:38-42 (NKJV) 38 Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at [a]Jesus’ feet and heard His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”
41 And [b]Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

Verse 42 is the one that really hit home with me and I hope it will help others as well–42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” Mary had chosen that good part, setting and listening to Jesus.
How offend do we pray short or long and jump up and take off and then when it does not work we get mad at the Lord? Sometimes we need to shut up and listen. Sometime when we can not do what we wish to do have we ever thought maybe our Father knew the outcome and it would not have been good for us. James 1:23-24 (NKJV) 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
Lord I pray that today we grasp what You desire for us and read, study, and learn Your words and understand our place in this world while we are here. Let us be all that You desire for us to be. Let us hang on to anything hang on to the scripture–Psalm 32:8 (NKJV) I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
