Morning prayer is something we all need. The Bible tells us to, “Pray without ceasing.” So I thought today my prayer would be about helping others to pray. The breakthrough, about prayer was a few years back. Talking with our Father wasn’t supposed to be this big ordeal. It didn’t need or should not be a ritual. Prayer is not something we have to do. It is something we get to do. He compared it to talking with a friend, only this FRIEND is Creator of this whole thing, completely.
There was a time that I did not pray much at all (and sometimes I still don’t). I heard a pastor talk about how prayer with God wasn’t supposed to be this big problem. I Have A Question For Anyone Having A Hard Time Praying…
What makes you think or feel that you can not or do not know how to pray? Find someone that prays someone that is a friend ask them how they do it–use some of the ideas they do and see if they could or would work of you.
Now try praying, let it start with something simple like; Father thank You for being willing to listen to me. I really would like to spend time with You and let us, You and me, have a friendship. If You would like to talk with me. Lord help me with all my fears of praying or saying the wrong things. I will try to open up and talk to You about my desires and fears, and then I will listen to You–so You can help me to pray without ceasing…
1 Thessalonians 5:17 (MEV) 17 Pray without ceasing.
Romans 1:9-10 (MEV) 9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing, I mention you always in my prayers, 10 making request if, by any means, now at last I might find a way in the will of God to come to you.
Acts 12:5 (MEV) 5 So Peter was kept in prison. But the church prayed to God without ceasing for him.
My Prayer Today Is
That this helps someone to open up to our Father and let Him walk them through the fears, and false ideas of praying. That it helps them to pray and listen to our Father. I do pray that we all grow in our prayer life for without it we are building on shifting sand and it will not stand. We need to build upon a solid foundation.
