Morning Prayer For Sunday March 10, 2019

Morning prayer for this Sunday morning is about being a Christian. What is being a Christian? What does it mean to you? How do you feel one should act or do? Is being a Christian different than being a football player? Or being in charge of a business?

Being A Real Christian

I feel being a real Christian is as a human being one is standing on the top of a mountain and in life one starts walking down that mountain… Then one gets saved one finds the Lord and they take a 180 degree turn and start walking UP the mountain.

The difference is one is born a sinner and it is easy to walk down hill. However now one has turned around and changed ones way and sometimes one get tired and climbing that mountain is hard. And sometimes one wants to give up and one prays and asks for help not sure one can take one more step.

However that is the time when our Lord steps in and just picks one up and caries them until they have rested and can walk again. Do we do it right all the time NO. Do we make mistakes YES. However do we quit trying? That is the question that is when one slips and takes, let’s say the easy way out.

Being a Christian becomes a game…

One has turned and walking becomes easy because one is walking down hill. All the right things are said and one appears to be a Christian, however, the fruit is not there. Anger becomes easy, lying becomes a way of life. One looks good, but, the fruit is bad.

However one can repent and turn back around and start climbing that mountain again… Our Lord never promised that climbing that mountain would be easy, but, He did promise He would NEVER leave us nor forsake us…

Being a Christian is to be a way of life.

It is walking through the fire knowing that fire is hot, but believing and knowing that our Lord is able and can deliver us, however, if He does or does not one is willing to walk through that fire. Or face that giant, or cross that river. I feel every story in the Bible is about facing that walk up hill or down hill.

Up hill is, if the Lord carries me or not I am going to climb this mountain! If He delivers me from the stress and pain of the walk up this steep climb or not I am not turning around I may die climbing but I will die loving my Father and being a Christian.

It Is Impossible For Me To Speak For Anyone Else,

Nor I can not speak for Debbie or anyone of you. I can only speak for myself and as for me I choose God if I live one more year, month, week, day, hour, minute, or second. I will die loving and following my Lord and Savior, Will I do it all right NO will I never slip again NO will I still love the Lord and be a Christian YES, YES, YES…

Have I passed the test well it is not over. See this test is called life, and it is an on going test. It is something we are faced with every day. It is every action, it is every decision, the question become and is always the question, Does one love the Lord with ALL of ones HEART, SOUL and MIND.

Psalm 23 (MEV) 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

My Lord died for me so that I could meet Him one day in Heaven. So that I might hear “Well done my good and faithful servant…

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters.

To me this verse says He will take care of me and make sure I am taken care of that I am protected. It does not promise me that I will have the best and that life will not be hard, at time. But he will always be there and care for me.

3 He restores my soul; The Lord leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Jesus died for me on that old rugged cross. He guides me up that mountain and shows and tells me the right way, and with my owners manual (the Bible) I will find, know, and understand His will for my life.

4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

And even if I am thrown in a fiery furnace He will be there with me and if I get out of it or not I will still love and serve HIM and only Him…

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.

I can not out give the Lord. He even tells me in Malachi 3:10 to TEST Him and see if he will not open the Windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing that I can not capture it all…

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

My reward will be, one day I will stand before my Father and hear “Well done My good and faithful servant” and be ushered into Heaven and live with Him forever…

What Psalms 23 means to me if it was good enough for David then it is good enough for me.

Lord I pray that You will forgive me for all my short comings and that You will show me the path I am to take. In the Mighty and Wonderful name of Jesus Christ my Lord and my Savior I do pray this all–AMEN!

Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And World, it is time for us to BLESS GOD…
