Morning Prayer for November 8, 2020

One of if not the hardest thing I have ever worked on is controlling my tongue. It is like it is waiting for me to let down my guard, so it can speak. Telling sinners where they are headed is like talking to a post. Saying things openly that does not need to be said is like pouring gas on a burning fire.

Psalms 39:1 (NKJV) I said, “I will guard my ways, lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle, while the wicked are before me.”

I wrote the other day about the woman caught in adultery. What did Jesus say to her did he condemn her? Not the other tongues were doing that He got rid of them by writing in the dirt and then He asked her where was her accusers” Then I do not accuse you so go and sin no more.

Now I do not clam to be Jesus but I have Him to learn from and I think we can win more souls with kindness than with harsh words. I do not believe the lost even think about sins or at least I did not. I never had the enemy to tell me I was going to hell until after I was saved, then he was around every coroner telling me I had messed up;

That is when the scripture found in John 10:10 (NKJV) “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

He can not do that to us but what he can do is stop us from telling other by killing, and stealing and killing our willingness to tell others about Jesus and Heaven and stealing our testimony.

Proverbs 8:13 (NKJV) The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate.

That scripture is one to hang onto. For that is one thing we should HATE and that is EVIL and ARROGANCE. I believe that we would be a lot better of if we could learn to keep our mouths shut and let our actions speak for us.

Lord I pray that this prayer will touch the hearts that need it and others who are learning who You are and what You are about. I believe being a Christian is about being all that You desire of us. Being a Christian is a 24/7 thing we can not walk in and out of Christianity we either are or are not there is no in the middle. Thank You Father for Your love for us and I pray this all in the Wonderful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior—AMEN!
