Morning Prayer for Wednesday January 20, 2021
Well Lord today is the day that America is handed over to the new President. So now we will see what happens. I am not sure how this is going to work I think I know what we as Christians are to do and be, but I am going to try and figure it out…
1 Peter 2:13-17 (NKJV) 13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, 14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. 15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men— 16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for [b]vice, but as bondservants of God. 17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

Doing what is right is what we are to do if we like him or not. Our job or duty is to respect the position that our President has been allowed to be. This is not about the man or woman but what God our Father tells us to do and be.
No where in the Bible does it tell us to like him He tells us to respect the position that he has been placed in. We are to love the lost and pray that they get saved. I wonder how many of you would have loved me before I got saved. Is Joe Biden saved? I have no idea, if not then we need to pray for his soul, and if he is we need to pray that he listens to our Heavenly Father and do what is right.
Verse 15 by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men. For that is the will of God. Then in verse 17 we are told to HONOR all people. Love the brotherhood but we are to FEAR God and Honor the king. Or in this case Honor the President that God let get elected.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Can we do the will of God can we be what the Bible tells us to be? Can we do what the Bible tells us to be and do? The question I have to ask is when or if we are asked to do something that is against ever thing we stand for. Can me honor our Father and take what ever they dish out for not going against what our Father. I think today is going to change our lives for ever.
We need to know the scripture and be reading to stand on it no matter what happens. I am going to end with this if I am wrong then I will pay the price, however this is what the Bible says–Romans 13:1-7 (NKJV) 1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor .
Memory Verse… Romans 13:8 (NKJV} Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
