Morning Prayer For Wednesday May 8, 2019
Introduction to Morning Prayer

You are the Keeper of my salvation Father. You gave it all for me so that I might spend eternity with You in Heaven. You control all of my life Your will be done in my life. Thank You for Your love and kindness. Thank You for watching over Debbie and me and meeting our needs.

Spending the day yesterday at the Hospital praying and speaking with the patients and speaking with them and it is amazing the things one hears. I was blessed yesterday praying with the patients and their families. I am there to bless them and comfort them and they bless me.

This is something I wish I could do that more, I think it would be a fantastic job. I love to pray for others and minister to them. Trusting our Father is what we have to do in all that we do. Jesus died yes however like no other savior or so called lord He walked out of that tomb in 3 days and is alive sitting at our Fathers right hand interceding for us.

This Is Something We All Can And Should Be Doing

Not necessarily in the Hospital but people we run into. I remember a couple months back, while in Sam’s Club looking at some baking potatoes I met a gentleman and in a few words I felt his hurt and asked if I could pray for him. He allowed me to pray and thanked me. He said looking at me he did not expect that, in fact he said I looked like I just parked my Harley out front…

The point is we need to be ready and willing to pray for and with anyone at anytime. Are we so embarrassed to pray? Do we think we do not pray good enough? Do not have the proper words to say, that is why we have the Holy Spirit, that is why Jesus is at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. We just need to be willing.

The Lord knows us and He understands us I feel that we feel like we are not capable of praying like our Pastor and we do not want to embarrass ourselves. Well no were in the Bible does it say we have to go to college to learn to pray first. We are told to pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Meaning in the Greek is, “Pray without intermission”; without allowing prayerless gaps to intervene between the times of prayer.

I do not believe it means one needs to spend their lives in their prayer closet. We need to fill our mind our hearts with Gods word and think on Him and His love. If we fill our minds with His written word and think about Him, Jesus and the Holy Spirit there is no room for the enemy. That is what I feel we need to think about Him and what He would do in everything.

Will we do it all right all the time? I doubt it however that is no reason not to try. I have found in my own life if I am in His word that the enemy has been cast out and there is no room for him or his lies. The more one thinks on and lives in Him the less time one will spend with our enemy.

Scripture For Today

Matthew 6:30-34 (MEV) 30 Therefore, if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is here and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore, take no thought, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 (For the Gentiles seek after all these things.) For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you. 34 Therefore, take no thought about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take thought about the things of itself. Sufficient to the day is the trouble thereof.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (MEV) 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
1 Peter 3:15-16 (NKJV) 15 But [set apart]sanctify [Christ]the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.
James 4:8 (MEV) Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Philippians 1:3-8 (NKJV) 3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, 5 for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; 7 just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace. 8 For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ.

Reading James 4:8 a couple words hit me “double-minded” I feel it is talking about thinking on our Lord and on the enemy. That again is, I feel, say our minds are filled with our Fathers words and the enemies. That is why we should learn to pray without ceasing.

Lord I pray that these words encourage us all to spend more time in Your work and with You and less time in the world and with the enemy and his lies. In the mighty and wonderful name of Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of our souls I do pray this–AMEN!

Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And let us understand, it is time for us to BLESS GOD…
