Morning prayer time again, here we are Lord ready to learn more about You and what You have for us. We are nothing without you, as we read in 1 Corinthians 13:1 (MEV) If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I have become as sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

Morning Prayer For Thursday April 4, 2019

We should be and do as in as we read in Psalm 150:1-6 (MEV) 1 Praise God in His sanctuary; raise Him in the firmament of His power!
2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the lyre and harp!
4 Praise Him with the tambourine and dancing; praise Him with stringed instruments and flute!
5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; praise Him with the clanging cymbals!
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
PRAISE THE LORD!

We should praise the Lord in everything, yes that includes the bad. You mean when things are going wrong, one might ask. Well let us look at Acts 16:25 (MEV) At midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

Guess what In verses 26-28 they did not run even though the chains had fallen off and the jailer was about to kill himself for he thought they had escaped. But praise the Lord they did not and in turn let us read Acts 16:29-30 (MEV) 29 He called for lights and rushed in, trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas. 30 He then led them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

The guard wants to know how to be saved… Now was the earthquake for a jail break or was it for a soul to be saved? Acts 16:29-30 (MEV) 29 He called for lights and rushed in, trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas. 30 He then led them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

Our God is an awesome God and He knows what it would take. Peter and Silas could have got up walked out of the jail free and let the guard be killed for them escaping. However they did not and the guard and his family was saved that night…

Acts 16:32-33 (MEV) 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his household. 33 In that hour of the night he took them and washed their wounds. And immediately he and his entire household were baptized.

God, our Father, has a plan for each of us the question is “Are we listening?” Next “Are we doing and being as Peter and Silas was or are we running away?” I believe that we are to show this dark world who we are and serve. Let them see our Lord though our actions not just our words… Actions speak a whole lot louder than words in some cases, NO in most cases!

Think about it today are we actually doing and being what our Lord desires. A smile to a cashier, a kind word to someone who is hurting. A helping hand to someone in need. That beggar on the corning just as easily be our Lord. Just to see what one might do. All I am saying his He desires to use us are we willing to be used?

Thank You Lord for using me. Thank You for showing me what we should be in all things. Being a Christian is more than a name, so much more. I are an example of what a Christian is and should be. Am I being that example? I pray this all in the mighty and wonderful name of JESUS our Lord and Savior—AMEN!

Spread the love
