Morning Prayer For Thursday March 7, 2019

Morning prayer is our get up and go button. I do not know about you but, I need the Lords help each day just to get through it. I am amazed at what happens when one prays. I believe that having faith in our Lord and believing He hears us is what it is all about.

Morning Prayer For Thursday March 7, 2019

Today’s prayer I feel lead to, as I searched the word for what to pray about is; Colossians 4:6 (MEV) Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you should answer everyone.

Grace seasoned with salt. A few simple words, but OH what a mouth full. Grace, divine favor bestowed freely on people, as in granting redemption from sin. The state of having received such favor. An excellence or power granted by God. The word salt here is the savor of fresh and lively spiritual wisdom and earnestness, excluding all “corrupt communication”.

Something that we all could work at, I do feel anyway. We should avoid useless speech like gossip or here say… Let our words be comforting to those who need to hear them. Our conversation should be cheerful without levity, serious without gloom. Again this is where the wisdom of the word is needed.

Matthew 5:13-14 (MEV) 13 You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how shall it be made salty? It is from then on good for nothing but to be thrown out and to be trampled underfoot by men.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Mark 9:50 (MEV) “Salt is good. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another.”
Ephesians 4:29 (MEV) Let no unwholesome word proceed out of your mouth, but only that which is good for building up, that it may give grace to the listeners.
1 Peter 3:15 (MEV) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to every man who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you, with gentleness and fear.

Colossians 3:16 (MEV) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

When I first really understood the covenant of salt was when Debbie and I were married. There were three small bowls on a table one bowl had Debbie’s name next to it and one with my name. We were told to pour our bowls of salt in the empty bowl in the middle. Then Pastor mixed them together and made this statement. One I will never forget “If either of you can separate your salt from the other you may depart from this covenant”. Let us understand our Lord and our Fathers wishes for us–AMEN!

Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And World, it is time for us to BLESS GOD…
