Do Not Test Christ

1 Corinthians 10:9-10 (NIV) 9 We should not test Christ, as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. 10 And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.
You can read 1 Corinthians 10:1-8 to get the whole story of what was going on. Short version is these people, that followed Moses that were under the cloud and pasted through the sea they drank for the spiritual rock however God was not pleased. Why, these things happened to keep us from being idolaters as some of them were, some of the people was playing Christian this all was written for us to understand.
We SHOULD NOT test Christ we should not grumble when things do not happen the way we wanted them to or in the time we wished for. Remember we live and do in Gods time not ours. We are led by the Holy Spirit and sometimes things are delayed for a reason. We are not ready or someone else it might affect was not ready. We pray and then we thank God for the answer even though it is not manifested yet we thank Him anyway. If we pray over and over for the same thing, then what we are saying is God I don’t think you heard me the first time so I will ask again. He hears every prayer he sees the beginning and the end at the same time. He knows what is best so let us practice after asking thank Him for His response of answer…
Thanking Him is a reminder that we asked for something and we are thanking him for answering when He feels it is right. Let us remember 1 Corinthians 10:9 and Do Not Test Christ
