One Mediator, Only,  One God

One Mediator, Only, One God– my desire is for these groups here to be a bright light in a dark world. We need to know and believe there is only one God and only one mediator and we all need to decide which one we are going to follow. There is only one God and only one enemy satan.

One Mediator, Only, One God

Matthew 26:31 (NIVR) Jesus told them, “This very night you will all turn away because of me. It is written that the Lord said, ‘I will strike the shepherd down. Then the sheep of the flock will be scattered.'”

We find this first said in Zechariah 13:7 “My sword, wake up! Attack my shepherd!  Attack the man who is close to me,”…

Today my desire is for others to get a hold on a few facts and accept them. We need to decide which one we are going to follow. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 (NRSV) 5 For there is one God; there is also one mediator between God and humankind, Christ Jesus, himself human, 6 who gave himself a ransom for all.

Now we all have to understand that we will slip and sometimes even fall. It is not about falling it is about getting back up. I have used this illustration a few time however it does fit in right here. Peter said in Matthew 26:33-34 (NIVR) 33 Peter said to him, “Though all become deserters because of you, I will never desert you.” Right after Jesus told them what was going to happen that night. Then in verse 34 Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, this very night, before the cock crows, you will deny me three times.” Then is verse 36 Peter said to him, “Even though I must die with you, I will NOT deny you.” And so said all the disciples.

Now if we go back to Psalms 1:1 (NKJV) Blessed is the man Who walks NOT in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor STANDS in the path of sinners, Nor SITS in the seat of the scornful; Here we see three things we should NOT do. However we find in Matthew 26:69-74 69 Now Peter was SITTING [DO NOT SIT WITH SIN Ps 1:1] outside in the courtyard. A servant-girl came to him and said, “You also were with Jesus the Galilean.” 70 But he DENIED it before all of them, saying, “I do not know what you are talking about.” 71 When he WHEN OUT [WALKED WITH SIN Ps 1:1] to the porch, another servant-girl saw him, and she said to the bystanders, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.” 72 Again he DENIED it with an oath, “I do not know the man.” 73 After a little while the bystanders came up and said to Peter, [DO NOT STAND WITH SIN Ps 1:1] “Certainly you are also one of them, for your accent betrays you.” 74 Then he began to curse, and he swore an oath, [DENIED] “I do not know the man!” At that moment, the cock crowed.

Then we find Jesus in verse 75 (NIRV) Then Peter remembered what Jesus had said. “The rooster will crow,” Jesus had told him. “Before it does, you will say three times that you don’t know me.” Peter went outside. He broke down and cried.  So I think we can honestly say Peter fell, would you agree. So even the disciples could slip. However again I say it is not how many times you fall IT’S ABOUT HOW MANY TIMES YOU GET UP… Let us now look at Acts Chapter 2 this is about the day of Pentecost were the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit goes to work. And guess who is there speaking. You got it, PETER and we find in verse 40 Peter is speaking and in verse 41 3,000 people were saved. Peter slipped and fell, however, he got back up there was some repenting that went on and some serious praying and in return 3000 people were delivered from the grasp of satan. It is NOT about how many times you fall down. It Is about HOW MANY TIME YOU GET UP! So I say to you it’s not about falling at all it’s all about GETTING UP.
