Opening The Door To Tell the Mysteries Of Christ

Opening a door for Paul to tell the story of Jesus even locked up in jail.  No one was safe from Paul and the Gospel.  He asks them to pray for him so that every time he opens his mouth out comes Christ…

Opening Door To Tell the Mysteries Of Christ

Colossians 4:2-4 (MSG) Pray diligently. Stay alert, with your eyes wide open in gratitude. Don’t forget to pray for us, that God will open doors for telling the mystery of Christ, even while I’m locked up in this jail. Pray that every time I open my mouth I’ll be able to make Christ plain as day to them.

I chose the Message Bible for these verses for it seems to bring it home. We could pray this today that Missionaries, Evangelist, Christian Workers even myself. In fact, we should pray it every day. That we all share what God has done for us and used us. I love the part where Paul says “every time I open my mouth” now that is commitment. For we are a witness every time we open our mouth. If we want to be or not every time we do something or say something we are and example of Christ.

As soon as people grasp the fact that if they claim to be a Christian then everything one does is an example of Jesus, in the world’s eyes, when one gets mad at someone or when one says something off-color to others they work with or hang out with. You know those people who make smart remarks like here come Reverend So in So or what that came out of a Christians’ mouth. It is like they are standing there with a gun drawn cocked and ready to fire the minute one says something wrong. At the same time making smart mouth slurs if one says something about God.

It amazes me that Atheists claim to not believe in God or Jesus they do not believe He was or is real that there is no such person. They have and are spending millions of dollars to have His words removed out of every place, it gives them headaches to see two pieces of metal that were part of the Twin Towers because it looks like a cross. However, they can walk into a Jewelry Store that has them in the window and they do not bother them. Myself if I do not like something I just ignore it.

It amazes me how satan [the enemy] tries to force things that are unGodly our immoral on to us like gay marriage. I could care less if two guys or two women wish to get married however the same law that gives them the right if there is one gives me the right to not accept it. Just like the kids today and their 3000-watt stereos in their cars state they have a right to listen to their music. Others have the same right not to listen to it.  Opening doors are what satan is good at however, this is the time that it stops in Christians.

Let us stand up and be all that our God desires us to be. Let it shine, let our light shine brightly as we go through this world, let it be known that we love God dearly and completely.
