Prayer For Saturday December 8, 2018

Prayer for today is about using the scriptures and understanding them.  We all need our Fathers help all the time and my prayer today is that we understand and use them to grow in the love of our Lord…

I am sure that you all understand that ALMs is a Ministry and we have a website that you go to to read the devotional and on Twitter they go to the website to also read the morning prayer. So the company that we use for the website has been talking about and working on a major change. Well they did it yesterday without any noticed and that is why it took so long for the devotional to post.

So along in your morning please pray that I can understand the changes and get it all done faster… Other than that it is cold this morning and sprinkling rain again. It is above freezing now so it is not ice thank you Father for that.

Lord, we all have our Jordan’s to cross from time to time and we, as the Israelites did sometimes fear the water. We know and understand You are with us for You have taken care of us everyday. However when we see all that water and it is rushing by the enemy steps in and starts telling us his lies and how we could drown and so on.

Crossing the Jordan is what we all have to do day in and day out and this is written about through out the Bible. We read in Joshua 3 this story we all have our Jordans to cross daily the question is are we going to cross them or are we going to be afraid of the water and hold back?

As in Joshua Chapter 1 we have read the story about not looking to the left or the right and that is about us not looking at all our problems, but, looking at the one the Lord is dealing with. Keeping our eyes on Him and doing as we are told. And we will cross that Jordan on dry ground and when we get to the other side that problem will be defeated, the question is do we trust the Lord and will we do what He said for us to do?

Joshua 4:5-6 (MEV) 5 Then Joshua said to them, “Cross over before the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you lift up a stone upon your shoulder, one for each of the tribes of the children of Israel, 6 so that this will be a sign among you. When your children ask, ‘What do these stones mean to you?’

1 Peter 2:4-5 (MEV) 4 Coming to Him as to a living stone who is rejected by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house as a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Psalm 114:7-8 (MEV) 7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob 8 who turned the rock into a pool of water, the hard stone into a spring of waters.
Joshua 4:1-3 (MEV) 1 When the entire people had completed crossing over the Jordan, the Lord said to Joshua, 2 “Take twelve men from among the people, one man per tribe. 3 Command them: ‘Pick up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, from the place where the feet of the priests are standing; bring them over with you, and set them in the place you will camp tonight.’?”

John 3:2 (MEV) He came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher who has come from God. For no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”

My prayer today is that we all grow in Christ and that when we are faced with a Jordan in our life we cross over it on dry ground and give the victory to Jesus and cross it on dry ground. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and our Savior I pray—AMEN!
