Prayer For January 2, 2019

Prayer is something we all need to learn and do.  We can talk with our Father and tell Him all of our problems and needs.  He loves us and desires to hear from us…

Good Morning Father and to my Christian Family and all that might read this prayer today. Well Debbie and I took another road trip to Nashville to help a young lady see her mom and dad. Her dad is our Pastor and she is here and needed to see mom and dad.

Our Pastor had an operation, to remove some cancerous stuff (lol, not good with all those big words) and she had not seen them close to a week. She left with a smile, some tears but still a smile. I think she was the best medicine he could get…

Lord I thank you for the safe trip and for letting us be a blessing to this family that we love so very much. Thank you for allowing us to be here for them, thank you for a car that can make the trip and not cost us and arm or a leg to get there and back.

Thank you Father for watching over us and using us to bless someone that needed it. I pray that we represented You through this. Before we left I prayed for Pastor and Denise and just as I started to pray there was a knock on the door, and in walked one of the surgeons and I prayed for him as well. Maybe that was the reason for the trip as well.

I think it is amazing how You Father can direct us and pull others in. I thank You for using me in this small way. I thank You for letting me see You work and the blessings that will flow from You through us. I pray Father, that 2019 is going to be a special year for us all and we see Your values restored in America and around the world…

I pray for some to wake up and see Your vision, I pray that some realize that being a Christian is more than saying they are Christians, but showing and doing and being a REAL Christian is being a light in a dark world. I pray that we will learn to be bold about our faith.

1 Peter 2:9-10 (MEV) 9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may declare the goodness of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 10 In times past, you were not a people, but now you are the people of God. You had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

John 8:12 (MEV) Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Romans 12:2 (MEV) Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
John 9:3-5 (MEV) 3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned. But it happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 I must do the works of Him who sent Me while it is day. Night is coming when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

Matthew 5:14-16 (MEV) 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven”.

We are a light to a darkened world and we should not try to cover it. For to do so is saying I am ashamed to be a Christian and I do not wish to loose my relationship with my unsaved quote friends unquote! Is it time to make a choice yet? In the precious and wonderful name of Jesus I do pray… AMEN!
