Morning Prayer For 10/3/2018

Here we are still kicking, I finished the electrical jog yesterday and now it is time to get the Chapel on order and get back to work on our home. I do not deal with turmoil well. So now it is time to start cleaning and fixing here. I have a lot of work to get done, and it is about time for it to finish.
I was thinking just now of and old statement that makes more and more sense now “The main thing is to keep the Main Thing the Main Thing”! Sometimes we allow our stuff to get out of order and when we do the enemy steps right in and takes a foot hold. That is why prayer is so important.
I have been a do it myself person all my life. And I now have these thoughts that pop into my mind now. They are parts of some Christian songs but the words hold so true. 1 “sometimes it takes a mountain, sometimes a troubled sea, sometimes it takes a desert to get a hold of me.” Or I can’t even walk without You holding my hand.” Then this one is appearing more and more “Sometimes alone I cry” Then every time one reminds me “ Mercy walked in”. Now I know we all struggle from time to time and as we grow it gets less and less, or it should. That is the reason I do this. I will admit that sometimes it is hard to sit here and type the truth about me for all to see. However if it helps someone grow then it is worth it.
It is so easy to see the faults of others and it seems that we turn a blind eye to ourselves. I used to say I do not want to be so heavenly minded that I am no earthly good, but that is not a true statement and I do not use it anymore. For the more heavenly minded one is the more earthly good one is. The Lord gives one ways and shows one the right path to take. And that is what we all need to be seeking is the right path.
What I don’t understand is that we try to do it on our own over and over, knowing we actually can not but yet we have to try and the Lord is standing right there watching with the right way or answer. I hope that someday I give it all to Him and let Him guide me and lead me. I pray that each of us grows to that point because He will save us a lot of hurts and tears.

Philippians 4:6-7 (MEV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I pray that this helps us all grow in the trust of our Lord and Savior and that we learn to let Him lead us in all that we do and think. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ I pray this–AMEN!
