Prayer of the day is about how are you doing with this Christmas Season? All the hustle and bustle or should I say pushing and shoving. As for me I try and stay as far away from it as I can. I do not do pushing and shoving well.
Why do most wait to the last minute to get ready for Christmas December the 25 comes every year and the same thing happens. What do we get this person or that person. Well, for Debbie and I it will be about the birthday of Jesus. Now I know there are the ones that say this is not His birthday. I really do not care it is the day that was picked and I am saying Merry Christmas.
Lord why is it that so many want to argue and fight over Your birthday, why is it that people go out and go in debt buying gifts for others? Toys they can not afford spending money they do not have and then saying seasons greetings. They run around like a chicken with its head missing. Pushing and shoving and actually forgetting the reason for Christmas.
What has this world come to? Hell here on earth, we have alarms on our business’, our homes, our cars. Cameras every where and crime is not less it is more. Christmas is very slim for a lot of people this year and the years before.
Lord, why do we forget You and Your birthday and get so up tight if we do not get what we wanted for Christmas kids, adults all the same. Why can’t we just stop and look at ourselves rushing around for what? Then on the 26th we go back to being who we were. Then comes the shopping day after Christmas—the day I stay home.
Lord, why, why do we forget about you for one day why can’t we just love and believe in something and someone so very precious and wonderful. You! Not what we did or did not get what we had to eat or drink. What about those that got nothing and have nothing. What about those Veterans that are living and sleeping on the streets.
There are people raping this country illegally and flooding us with their garbage from their own country and we don’t even take care of those that fought for our freedom that some are trying to give away. Why are we so self centered and greedy that we will not take care of our own but want to take care of the world.
Forgive me if I am wrong but how can we call ourselves Christians and our neighbors, and I am not talking about other countries I am talking about the people next door our down the street, are starving or have no heat or no electric. How can we call ourselves Christians when we will not take care of our own…
Isaiah 1:10-15 (MEV) 10 Hear the word of the Lord, you rulers of Sodom;
listen to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah:
11 For what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me? says the Lord. I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed animals. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of male goats.
12 When you come to appear before Me, who has required this at your hand, to trample My courts? 13 Bring no more vain offerings; incense is an abomination to Me. New Moons, Sabbaths, and convocations—I cannot bear with evil assemblies. 14 My soul hates your New Moons and your appointed feasts; they are a burden to Me; I am weary of bearing them. 15 When you reach out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; even when you make many prayers, I will not hear.
Your hands are full of blood.
2 Thessalonians 3:1 (MEV) Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may quickly spread and be glorified, even as it did with you.
2 Thessalonians 3:10 (MEV) For when we were with you, we commanded you that if any will not work, neither shall he eat.
2 Thessalonians 3:12 (MEV) Now, concerning those who are such, we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ that they quietly work and eat their own bread.
1 Timothy 5:8 (MEV) But if any do not care for their own, and especially for those of their own house, they have denied the faith and are worse than unbelievers.
Sorry this is coming right now however I feel it is something that needed to be said wake up and smell the coffee before it’s to late. We need to start looking farther then the end of our noses.
