Prayer For Wednesday December 26, 2018

Prayer is food for a Christian, is like gasoline for a car. One can not drive their car without gas and one can not be a Christian without prayer. Buying gas in a container and clamming to have a car fools some people but one is still walking not driving. If you have a car and do not take care of it that is what one does to their soul without prayer.

OK here we are again, I am sure all is wondering what I am talking about. Well I was talking to a quote unquote a Christian. They said a good amount of the right things then I went to their Facebook page and it was full of 4 letter words and our Fathers name in vain a few times. That is the gas in a can and no car.

One thing I do understand we all have problems there is no getting around it. We are not perfect and never will be. Jesus was perfect and He died so we do not have to be. However that does not mean we do not have to try.

The parable of the good tree and the bad tree holds true again. Yes we are known by our fruits, a good tree-Christian can not bear bad fruit and a bad tree—non christian can not bear good fruit. We are known by our fruits. Does not mean that we can not change it just means if we live in sin we are a sinner. If we walk in the light we walk with our Father.

We have way to many wanting it both ways and I keep thinking of one verse that scares me. Exodus 34:10-16 especially verse 14 (for you shall not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God).

Worshiping another God. Anything that becomes more important than God, is another god. Yes even our language. My mom used to say a person who curses all the time has a lack of a vocabulary. The strange thing is my mom only had a 3rd grade education.

We can not walk with one foot in the world and one foot in Heaven. Going to church on Sunday morning and living like hell all week is not a Christian and is only fooling themselves. I am not here trying or even attempting to judge anyone. The scripture does that…

Isaiah 53:9 (MEV) His grave was assigned with the wicked, yet with the rich in his death, because he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
1 Peter 2:21-22 (MEV) 21 For to this you were called, because Christ suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:
22 “He committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth.”

Matthew 12:36-37 (MEV) 36 But I say to you that for every idle word that men speak, they will give an account on the Day of Judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

My prayer today is that we all become all that our Lord and Savior Died on that “Old Rugged Cross” for. We are joint heirs according to Romans 8:14-17 (MEV) 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. 15 For you have not received the spirit of slavery again to fear. But you have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirits that we are the children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs: heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified with Him.
