A Prisoner of the Lord Walks Worthy of the Calling

A prisoner of the Lord when we think of a prison or prisoner we automatically thing of crooks and thieves, murders etc. So what is Paul talking about he is a prisoner in Christ? I hope this answers the question.

A Prisoner of the Lord Walks Worthy of the Calling

Ephesians 4:1 {NKJV) I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,

I have read his time after time and they I would set and wonder why Paul was saying he was a prisoner of the Lord and I think I finally Got it, As a Christian, we are called to a higher standard. Paul is using the term prisoner. In a prison, one is told what to do and when to do it. They instruct you in how to make up your bed to when to go to bed and all things in between.

Paul is saying that he is being instructed by the Holy Spirit in all that he says and does is from Jesus. That Jesus is calling us to walk worthy of being a Christian be all that our Bible is showing us to do as a Christian.

If we read on we see Ephesians 4:2-3 {NKJV) We see what we are told to do and what we should be doing. We are shown as Born Again, Spirit Filled, Christians how we should live in Christ. I will end with a great question for each to think about. “If you were arrested for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you?” God Bless…
