Reading, Believing and Trusting God’s Word

Reading, Believing and Trusting God’s Word… Is that a loaded statement or a questioning statement? I am asking it for a reason, for what I see and hear sometimes I wonder.

Reading, Believing and Trusting God's Word

I wonder sometimes if we really reading and studying scripture completely. Do we believe our Fathers words and most of all do we trust our Lord to do what he says, yes I have heard the only saying about flooding Heaven with a request? My statement to that is does one thing our Father is deaf? I have no problem with praying however according to the scriptures Psalm 34:15 (NKJV) The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.

The key word in that statement is RIGHTEOUS the righteous what does that mean? The noun righteousness/justice (Gk. dikaiosune [dikaiosuvnh]) bears meanings in the New Testament related to two sources. The major one is the Hebrew thought-world of the Old Testament and particularly the sdq [q;d’x] word group, which locates the meaning in the sphere of God’s gracious, covenantal relation to his people and the appropriate behavior of the covenant partners (Yahweh and Israel) toward each other. The other is the regular use of the words in everyday Greek as spoken in New Testament times, which fixes the meaning in the sphere of a life in conformity to a known standard or law thus honesty, legality, and so on. This latter meaning in terms of doing God’s will is of course also found in the Old Testament. For more information, one can check the reference [a].

Yes, I believe we can flood heaven with prayer however after reading the word I believe once one has asked for something after that if one receives it right away or if not yet one can flood Heaven with praises of thanksgiving. Thanking our Father for the answer if one has received it our not. To me ask the Lord over and over says one is not sure if He heard it so I will ask again.

Let us look at one that is at the top of the list HEALING. This one I have watched and listened and read so here is what I see. We find in Isaiah 53:4-6 (NKJV) 4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes, we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah is speaking of the coming of a Messiah and what he was going to go through and do. The one that I am speaking of now is “by His stripes we are healed, not would be nor should be we are healed. Then we find in 1 Peter 2:21-24 (NKJV) 21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us,[you] leaving us[you] an example, that you should follow His steps: 22 “Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; [Isaiah 53:9] 23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. Again by whose stripes you were healed.

So according to what I have read here, Isaiah said “we are healed” and Peter says “we were healed” thus this is why I believe we should pray for the manifestation of the healing Jesus has died for. I pray this will help us all as we pray…
