Reflections: Are We The Reflection of Christ?

Reflections of Christ is that what others see of us?  That is what they should be seeing, however, some times we all fall short… When we do we need to get back up repent and move on.

Reflections: Are We The Reflection of Christ?

What does our life reflect? Growing up, children imitate anything the parents do, say, or what they see others do. Are we imitating what the world does like a child, or, are we imitating what Jesus did, as the adults we are supposed to be? If we have given our lives to Christ and are supposed to be a reflection of Jesus, are we reflecting Jesus, or re we giving others a false example of who Christ is? When we claim to be a Christian & don’t act like one we are sending false, hypocritic messages to unbelievers.

We are to minister to others about God’s Word, just as Jesus did. We have the Bible= God’s Word= ” The sword of the Spirit”. Hebrews 4:12 says, ” For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than my two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul & spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerned of the thoughts and intents of the heart”.
We are working with God for God’s glory. We must use the skills that God has given us. We must use the tools God gives us. We ourselves can not change anyone, Only the Holy Spirit can do that. We simply tell the story and back it up with the way we are living our lives and God’s Word. It is a spiritual achievement. It is predicated by faith in God, faith in His pln, faith in His promise and faith in His presence.

The first step is to ask in faith for His power and guidance. Proverbs 3:6 says, ” In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths”. Pray for a consuming desire of our hearts urging to bring others to Christ. Pray for it, ask Jesus to fill us with a longing to introduce others to accept Jesus as yhiwr Lord and Savior. He will give this desire if it is asked earnestly enough.  Let our reflections be of Christ…
